THE OLD BREW HOUSE

Introduction

The Old Brew House sleeps up to 2 people and has one double bedroom being on the first floor.There is a bathroom with and over bath shower on the ground floor.This cottage was part of an original dwelling in the 1600’s, and has been restored to the highest standard with modern conveniences and comforts.

Pre-Arrival

• The nearest bus stop is 500m/545yds from the cottage.Ask the driver for the stop on Cadnant Bridge.There is not any shelter or seating.All buses take 5 minutes to Menai Bridge bus station where transfer to other destinations can take place.
• The courtyard immediately outside the cottage is gravelled with a wide footpath leading from the front door.
• The nearest mobility shop is 1 mile away on the High Street in Menai Bridge.
• Shopping can be arranged to be delivered in time for your arrival with Tesco and Waitrose.

Key Collection, Welcome and Car Parking

• The key will be in the door upon your arrival to enable immediate access.
• There is an outside low wattage light outside the front door which can be left on for access.
• Parking is available for 2 cars immediately outside the cottage within the courtyard.
• There is a paved pathway to the front door from the parking area.

Entrance to Property

• The front door is 104cm/41ins wide.
• There is one deep step up to the front door.
• The entrance is well lit by an overhead pendant light fitting.
• The floor is stone quarry tiles.

Halls, Stairs, Landings.

• The hall and stairs are well lit using a combination or ceiling pendants and table lamps.
• The floor is quarry tiles and a wooden oak staircase with wide grip strong handrail on the right hand side.

Sitting Room/Dining Area

• The sitting room/dining area is on the ground floor with level entry from the hallway.
• The door opening to the sitting room is 80cm/31.5ins wide.
• The room has a mixture of seating with a sofa and two leather arm chairs with non-feather cushions, together with a low folding coffee table. Sofa and chairs are 43cm/17ins high.
• Furniture can be moved but must be returned to its original position at the end of the stay.
• There is a widescreen digital television with remote control, subtitles and DVD player.
• Lighting is natural daylight and by night levels can be controlled be lamps around the room, and overhead pendant. Low wattage lighting where appropriate.
• The flooring is quarry tiles.
• There is a small dining table in one corner with chairs for two people, and floor standard light immediately adjacent to the table. The table is folding leaf and is moveable and has legs on each corner.The underspace is 71cm/28ins with additional chairs in the room.
• Chairs are movable and covered in split cane with no arms rests 48cm/19ins high.

Kitchen

• The kitchen is situated on the ground floor with step free, level access from the hallway.
• The door opening from the hallway is 80cm/31.5ins wide.
• The door of the oven drops down and the handle is 70cm/28ins above the floor. The hob is 91cm/36ins above the floor.
• The worktops and sink are 91cm/36ins above the floor.
• The fridge has an ice box and the highest shelf is 44cm/17.5ins and the lowest shelf 21cm/8.5.The door handle is 84cm/33ins from the floor.
• Large cutlery and utensils and spotlights and under wall cupboard lighting above work surfaces.
• Glasses and crockery can be moved from wall cupboards to lower cupboards if required. Cordless kettle rotating 360 degrees.
• There is a standard size front loading washer/dryer under the worktop.
• Flooring is slate tiles.

Bedroom

• There is one double bedroom on the first floor and is reached by an oak stair case with a wide right hand side hand rail.
• Access is from the sitting room.
• The height of the bed is 60cm/21ins from the top of the mattress to the floor.
• Lighting is natural daylight and at night by bedside lamps on each side of the bed. Additional lighting from the sitting room pendant light also available.
• The bedroom offers good colour contrast between the floor and walls, with wooden floor boards, non-feather bedding.

Bathroom, Shower and Toilet

• The bathroom is well lit with ceiling spotlighting and shaver light.
• Access is step free and level.
• Door opening 80cm/31.5ins.
• Bath and overhead shower entry is 53cm/21.
• Toilet 43cm/17ins high.
• Shower seat available upon request.
• Wash basin 77cm/30.5ins high.
• Cross easy grip taps on basin and bath and shower.
• Slate tile flooring.

Additional Information

• All areas in the cottage have good colour contrast between the floor, doors and walls. Generally, doorframes are in dark oak wood and walls are light in colour.
• Mobile phone reception can be poor inside but a good signal from most service providers can be obtained outside the building.
• The nearest General Hospital with and A&E unit and walk in NHS is 2 miles away and the nearest Doctor’s surgery is 0.5 miles away. Further information is in the Welcome Folder.
